Objective: This article explains ACH transfers and how long it takes to be processed.
What is ACH transfer?
An ACH bank transfer is an electronic payment made between banks or financial institutions The network that these payments occur across is known as an "automated clearing house." ACH bank transfers are used for many purposes, such as direct deposits of paychecks, debts for regular payments, and money transfers. As you may already know, our virtual USD accounts accept only ACH payments and so if you are a user, this article may just be for you!
How long do ACH transfers take?
Direct ACH payments normally take one to three business days to show up in the recipient's account since ACH transfers are processed in batches. This is longer than the average processing time for wire transfers, credit card transactions, and ATM withdrawals.
An ACH transfer can take anywhere from a few hours to a few business days, depending on the time of day it’s initiated and whether same-day processing has been requested.
