Overview
One form of the know your customer (KYC) process involves collating important information about your address to validate your account.
According to international anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, the Know Your Customer (KYC) is a very important process that entails gathering and validating critical customer information like your National ID, Utility Bill, etc.
We gather this data to ensure account security and compliance. This way, we lower the possibility of identity theft and financial crimes.
Every user is required to do the Basic verification (Biometric and ID verification) and the Address verification.
Address Verification
You are required to submit a bank statement or a utility bill for this verification.
The document should :
- Be issued within the last 3 months
- List your full name and your home address.
NOTE:
- Be sure to take or upload a readable document. Natural light can help you achieve this, and the picture should be up close.

Upload the original address document file, not a screenshot or photo taken from another device.
Address verification steps in Mobile App.
- In your Cadanapay account, select Profile
- Select Verification Status and select Address verification to continue.
- Select your Country.
- Select document type and upload the required documents

Select Submit to submit the document
Address verification steps in Web App.
- In your Cadanapay account, select Profile at the top right corner, where your full name appears.
- From the drop down menu, click on Profile Settings
- Click to open the Account Verification tab and select Address verification to continue.
- Select your Country.
- Select document type and upload the required documents
- Select Submit to submit the document
- Address verification typically completes within 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays.
