2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) / MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) is a secure, time-sensitive code generated by an authenticator app. It serves as a second verification step in addition to your password.
2. Why is 2FA/MFA mandatory?
2FA/MFA adds an extra layer of security, protecting your account and financial information in case your password is compromised.
3. Which authenticator apps can I use?
You can use trusted apps like Google Authenticator, Okta Verify, SafeAuth, 1Password, or Microsoft Authenticator. These apps are free and available for both iOS and Android.
4. How does 2FA/MFA work?
Once enabled, you’ll enter a unique, time-sensitive code generated by your authenticator app every time you log in. Codes refresh every 30 seconds, adding extra protection.
5. Do I need internet access for 2FA/MFA to work?
No, codes are generated offline. However, you will need internet access to log in to your Cadana account.
Troubleshooting 2FA/MFA
1. I didn’t receive a code. What should I do?
Ensure your device’s date and time are accurate, as codes are time-sensitive.
Refresh your authenticator app and try again.
2. I changed my phone. How can I access my account?
Use the backup code provided during setup. If you no longer have it, contact support@cadanapay.com for recovery assistance.
3. My 2FA/MFA codes aren’t working.
Check that your device’s time is set to automatic or synced correctly. Make sure you’re using the correct code for the current time.
4. How can I reset my 2FA/MFA if I lose access to my authenticator app?
