Setting Up 2FA/MFA with an Authenticator App on Cadana

Objective:
This article is a guide on how to use an authenticator app for 2FA/MFA with the Cadana Mobile and Web Apps.

Note:
When setting up 2FA/MFA, store your backup code in a secure place, preferably on a cloud service. This code allows you to recover access to your account if you change devices or lose your authenticator app.

Steps to Set up Authenticator App 2FA on the Mobile App

Download the Google Authenticator, Authy Authenticator, or 1Password App on your Mobile Phone or Tablet to continue.

• On the homepage in the app, tap Profile in the bottom right corner of your screen.
• On the next page, tap Security Settings under your profile.
• On the Security Settings page, Select Two-Factor Authentication.
• You’ll see a QR code with instructions to scan it using your authentication app or manually copy the key provided and paste it into your authentication app.
• Tap Continue, then copy the 6-digit code from your authentication app and enter it to finish the setup.
• Don’t forget to copy the Recovery Code and keep it safe as a backup if you lose your device's access!

Steps to Set up Authenticator App 2FA on the Web App
 

Download the Google Authenticator, Authy Authenticator, or 1Password App on your Mobile Phone or Tablet to continue.

• On your dashboard, click on your name and Cadana UserTag at the top right corner.
• Click on Manage Account
• Select Security Settings
• Under Security Settings, click on Set Up 2FA to begin setup 
• Choose 2FA Method by clicking Authenticator App 
• To enable two-factor authentication, scan the QR code with your Authenticator App on your mobile or tablet to link
• Enter the most recent 6-digit verification code 
• Click Continue to complete the setup
• Don’t forget to copy the Recovery Code and keep it safe as a backup if you lose your device's access.
