How to use an authenticator app for Two-factor (2FA) authentication

Objective: This article is a guide on how to use an authenticator app for 2FA using the Cadana admin web app. Please note that disabling a linked authenticator app from your 2FA set up automatically requires you to use email verification as two-factor authentication.

Steps to set up function.

• On your dashboard, click on your profile at the top right corner.
• Select Settings
• Scroll down, search for Two factor Authentication
• Click on Enable button by Two factor Authentication to begin set up.
• You will receive a prompt to download Google Authenticator, Authy Authenticator or 1Password on your device.
• Download the Google Authenticator, Authy Authenticator or 1Password App on your Mobile Phone or Tablet to continue.
• Select Continue
• Authorize set up by scanning the QR code with your Google authenticator app or enter the 6- digit code to sync it.
• Select Enable 2FA to finish setup

Steps to turn off function

• On your dashboard, tap on your profile at the top right corner.
• Tap on Settings
• Scroll down, search for Two factor Authentication
• Click on Disable button by Two factor Authentication to initiate the turn off.
• You will receive a prompt to enter the 6- digit code from the linked authenticator app on your mobile. 
• Enter the 6- digit code to sync
• Click on Disable 2FA to finish the setting down.
